REQUIRE TWO MALE ACTORS

For the first public reading of this new work in Cork.
Supported by Cork County Council and Cork City Council


TOM BARRY OLDER

Age: Late 50s to early 60s
Height: Average

Build: Slender
Bearing: Upright, military, physical, authorative.

A versatile actor; it is essential that he has excellent command of several accents (Barry’s, various West Cork and British), strong storytelling ability and physical performance skills.


TOM BARRY YOUNGER

Age: Early 20s

Height: Average
Build: Slender

Bearing: Energetic, military, tough.
Very mature for his age, intelligent.

Must be good at West Cork accent, have strong storytelling ability and physical performance skills.


The piece will rehearse in Dublin for one week in late October and will be performed in Cork at the end of that week. This is paid work at above equity minimum. All travel and accomodation expenses are provided. The Actors will be forwarded excerpts in advance of the audition and it is requested that they have a prepared piece that demonstrates their abilities in either physical performance, multiple characterisation or mimicry.
