1. What is CastingZone.ie?
CastingZone.ie is a service that provides a directory of talent in the entertainment industry for use by potential employers including Casting Directors, Directors, Producers, Production Managers and Agents. CastingZone.ie is a meeting place for the industry. We aim to put potential employers, in touch with talent and industry personnel in an efficient and effective way, so that talent and industry personnel can be identified, considered, contacted and booked for work.
2. How does it work?
Talent and industry personnel post their CV's and portfolios which can be viewed by registered users such as Directors, Producers, Casting Directors, Agents, and Industry personnel.
3. How do I apply to use CastingZone.ie?
You can register to access the database here .
4. Does it cost to use CastingZone.ie?
No, it does not cost anything to either register or use the directory. The only charge will be for text messages if you choose to send out text messages to artists.
5. How do I find artists?
There are a number of ways to search for talent:
- Basic search - this covers age, experience, location etc.
- Advanced search - there are over 40 different search criteria including skills, nationality, credits etc.
- Search direct by artist.
- Search just for those represented by a particular agent.
- Browse the database by age and gender.
6. How do I post a casting breakdown?
You have two options:
- Search using specific criteria and then send an email or text message (you have to be registered to do this)
- Post a general notice that all visitors to this site can see
7. Can I still deal directly with Agents?
Yes, if an artist is represented by an Agent, you will be dealing directly with the Agent. You can also search for artists only represented by a particular Agent.
8. What information on each artist will I be able to access?
You will be able view a full CV, including credits, training and skills along with a portfolio of photographs, showreel and audio reel.
9. Who should I contact for assistance?
You can contact us by email or phone on 01 276 95 35. We are happy to meet with you to go through how to get the most out of the service.
10. Is it only professional artists who appear on CastingZone.ie?
No, the service is for all artists, professional, ametuer and up and coming, so you will have a lot more opportunity to find the artist that is right for your production.
11. How can I contact artists?
If the artists is represented then you can contact the agent by email, phone and text message. If the artist is not represented, then you can contact them directly by email, phone and text message.
12. Can I save my lists for future reference?
Yes, you can save lists with notes for future reference
13. Can I print lists, CV's, headshots etc?
Yes, you can print lists of artists, 10x8 headshots, full CV's etc.
